BENDIGO MINING ENVIRONMENT FUND - GUIDELINES
The Bendigo Mining Environment Fund is aimed at providing funding to assist organisations with environmental projects that benefit the Bendigo Community.
We would like to receive your proposal if you have a project that addresses criteria such as:
- Contributes to biodiversity of the local area.
- Creates or improves habitat for native fauna.
- Establishes self-sustaining land management practices.
- Reduces the impact of invasive species.
- Raises awareness of key environmental issues within the local community.
- Promotes the efficient use of water, energy and natural resources, or reduces waste.
- Provides an environmental benefit for the Greater Bendigo Community.
- Supports Volunteer Groups.
- Provides opportunities to publically recognise Bendigo Mining’s contribution to the project.
To be considered for funding your proposal should:
- Clearly articulate the project's outcomes and benefits for Bendigo.
- Demonstrate value for money.
- Demonstrate the capacity to make effective use of the funds.
- Have a clear budget and funding requirements including third party funding.
- Include a timetable for reporting back project outcomes to Bendigo Mining.
- Allow Bendigo Mining to provide signage to advertise its support of the project.
- Be supportive of media opportunities.

Funding will not be allocated for:
- Private companies seeking finance for their own business activities.
- Projects benefiting an individual.
- Proposals traditionally funded by government.
- Political activities.
About the Environment Fund Committee:
Established in 1995, the Bendigo Mining Environment Fund is administered by a Committee and chaired by the Mayor of the City of Greater Bendigo. Members of the Committee include the Chairman, the Managing Director and CEO of Bendigo Mining, and up to three external community members with expertise in environmental management.

Applications may also be emailed to info@bendigomining.com.au - Attention Environment and Community Affairs Officer - Environment Fund. Applications close 30 April and 31 August each year.
