Community Relationship

Bendigo Mining recognises that in order to continue our current activities and to expand our operations we must have the support of the community.

Our Community Affairs Strategy recognises that frequent two-way communication between the Company and our community is vital. Our performance against environmental emission guidelines (noise, dust etc) is also important as no amount of communication can overcome an unacceptable social impact.

We continue to build relationships in our Community through direct consultation, providing information about our activities (open days, newsletters, media releases), assisting local schooling with education opportunities, providing local jobs and work experience, and being involved in community activities (Australia Day, Bendigo Show, Easter Festival).

We assess our performance through direct consultation with the community, gaining feedback from our Community Advisory Board and undertaking independent surveys.
