About Us
The Bendigo Goldfield is centred on the urban area of Bendigo, with a population of 90,000, in Central Victoria 130 km northwest of Melbourne.
The Bendigo Goldfield has the second largest historical production for a goldfield in Australia (after Kalgoorlie's Golden Mile) with a total production of 22 Moz of gold.
Our goal is to build a profitable mid-tier Australian-based gold mining company.
Bendigo Mining's aim:
- Our mission is to create a sustainable production base through continued exploration and development of the Bendigo deposit by;
- Creating a leaner, exploration-driven organisation and culture.
- Ceasing all non-critical capital expenditure. The dewatering programme will continue so as to sustain future options for exploration and mining.
- Pausing commercial production once the accessed reefs have been mined to their economic limits. Production to recommence when reserves are sufficient to support consistent gold production.
- Ceasing all access development to unmined reefs on the Deborah and South Sheepshead Lines until better grade information from current production and additional exploration drilling is available.
- Continuing to develop the main underground access 'spine' northwards to provide drill locations (760 North Drive).
- Value and strive for excellence in health and safety.
- Conduct its activities honestly and ethically.
- Treat all people with respect and dignity.
Our team members will:
- Be accountable for their actions and decisions.
- Deliver quality work.
- Be reliable and innovative.
- Value the community and environment in which we operate.
